Not only skiers get in the skicircus at their expense, even for winter hikers there are a range of winter hiking trails.
Directly behind the Panorama Restaurant "Alte Schmiede" at the Asitz top station starts a idyllic winter hiking trail along the slopes 87 on 1,760 meters above sea level leads to the storage pond at the Asitz on 1873 meters.
A walk through the snowy landscape, with panoramic views to the "Leoganger Steinberge" and the "Steinernen Meer" as an unforgettable experience.
The walk takes about 1 hour (up + retour)
Good shoes are required!
You reach the start of the walking way ONLY by using first the Asitz-Kabinenbahn
ascent+descent adult = 14,50 Euro (winter 2011/12)
